All over the world it is Chinese New Year, the year of the Monkey! To celebrate we have had a special dinner.
We had 4 options which were: chicken chow mein, quorn chicken, quorn chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken and finally quorn sweet and sour chicken.
Everyone enjoyed lunch and thanked the kitchen staff for putting such hard work into it.You could either have noodles or rice with their dinner.
Some classes have been making Chinese decorations. In assembly we watched a video clip where some Chinese boys dancing The Blue Dragon dance. In assembly some children were to do a pretend Chinese dance, the dragon dance which was quite good. There was a head and a tail like a coin.
All the children enjoyed tasting different foods. In year 3 they have been doing cards with monkeys on the front. Some classes have been making lantons.
